Alumna Malia (Krohn) Wiley (’08) is a talented artist, and she was recently honored as the winner of the “Gallery 5004 Best Painting Award” at the Minnesota State Fair’s 106th Fine Arts Exhibition.
Gallery 5004 is an event-based art gallery, located in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. The gallery offers a diverse selection of prominent Minnesota artists from the past, as well as many current and emerging artists from the area.
Gallery 5004 chose Malia’s oil on canvas painting called Owlets on Granny’s Afghan as the top work among the 334 pieces of art on display at the Fair. Malia’s painting was chosen for entry into the Fair Exhibition from among 2,482 entries.
