Bethany Lutheran College, a Christian liberal arts college, owned and operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Synod, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position in the Engineering department beginning July 1, 2020. As a full-time faculty member in this program, you will play a key role in the way the Engineering program is shaped for the next generation of learners. This person will have the autonomy to shape the curriculum to meet the needs of industry, to identify and select additional instructors along with the Vice President of Academic Affairs, as well as to develop and engage in meaningful internship opportunities for students in this growing program. A curriculum has been approved and is in place for this program which aligns to and supports all of Bethany’s mission and goals for our students. You will be provided the opportunity to guide and shape students in this exciting and growing program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related Engineering field required; doctorate degree is preferred; ABD considered with a plan in place to complete the terminal degree.
- Passion for teaching, advising and mentoring students.
- Experience with mechanical or biomedical engineering topics, including Statics and Dynamics, Solid and/or Fluid Dynamics, Electrical Circuits and Computer Aided Engineering.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and background; comprehensive benefit program.
