John Dvorak (’09)

John Dvorak (2009)John, a 2009 Bethany graduate, is a ticket account executive at the Minnesota Vikings ticket office.

WHAT YOU DO • • • As a ticket account executive, my primary responsibilities include servicing the Vikings many great season ticket holders on a daily basis and cultivating new business: season tickets, hospitality packages, and suites-through phone sales and face-to-face meetings.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU • • • I have an extraordinary passion for sports and communication in general. Whether it is sales and marketing, journalism, or broadcasting—I love it!

HOW YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE • • • Selling the NFL is rewarding, but we all have a greater call in this life. I want to build a career in sports at some capacity, but at the same time I know this is our temporary home and want to impact others by how I conduct myself on a daily basis and live my life for God.

HOW BETHANY HAS PREPARED YOU • • • In addition to all the great classes I took at Bethany, being part of the student newspaper and hockey broadcast crew for four years really helped jump-start my career. Going from the “stats guy” to head producer and co-anchor of the pre-game show provided me with a wide range of experience that led to internships with FOX Sports North and the Minnesota Twins. My family and Bethany network has always been very supportive.

WHAT YOU REMEMBER MOST • • • The Christ-centered atmosphere and the many friendships I developed and still have to this day. From my “Salukis” intramural flag-football team, “Treyz-All-Dayz” hoops team to PA announcing some baseball and soccer games, there were many memorable moments at BLC.

ADVICE FOR CURRENT STUDENTS • • • Give God all the glory in what you do and say each day. Additionally, it is very important to land an internship or two by your senior year of college, keep in touch with that network of people and never give up. Do something that makes you happy.
