Lutheran composer and organist Jacob B. Weber is associate editor of music/worship at Concordia Publishing House. At CPH, he assists with the editing and development of all handbell, keyboard, and choral publications, as well as other worship resources. Prior to this, he was the kantor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School in Dearborn, Michigan, where he oversaw and directed the church and school music programs and served as organist. He has earned degrees in church music and organ from Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, Minnesota (’10), and Concordia University Wisconsin (’17). He is active as a substitute organist, as a hymn festival presenter, and recitalist. With dozens of keyboard and choral settings in print, he particularly enjoys writing for organ. In 2021, he was awarded the biennial Raabe Prize for Excellence in Sacred Composition by the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM) for his original choral setting, Festival Gloria (CPH), set in Latin for SATB, organ, and brass.
