What’s the best thing about living on campus at Bethany Lutheran College? The short answer is “everything!” Friendly, comfortable residence halls, a dining center with delicious food options all day long, events every day of the week, and friends who are more like family.
At Bethany, over 70% of students live on campus. The on-campus experience is all about the people you meet and the time spent with friends both in and out of your room or apartment.
Not only will you live close to other students, you’ll also live minutes away from the many campus resources that encourage academic success and provide opportunities for involvement.
Residential students build a friendly, supportive community that creates rewarding experiences you’ll remember for years afterwards. Living on campus at Bethany is the best way to experience college life.
Dining at BLC
The Dining Center provides a wide selection of meal options from it’s made-to-order grill, rotisserie station, main line with delicious daily features, salad bar, all-day breakfast counter with cereal, waffles, fresh fruit, smothies/shakes, sandwich bar, pizza and soup stations, and multiple beverages to choose from.
From music, to theatre, to the visual arts, opportunities abound.
The arts at Bethany are for everyone. As early as your freshman year, you can be part of moving musical experiences both in the classroom and the concert hall. Auditions aren’t just for upperclassmen; all students can be part of our concert choir, band, or theatre productions.
Students wanting additional instruction can take private lessons for vocal and instrumental performance. Personal studio space is reserved for each painting and sculpture student. Powerful, cutting-edge hardware and software is available to every aspiring video artist, animator, or graphic designer.
These are among the advantages of a smaller college that values and encourages creativity.

From the chapel to the classroom, Christian faith is at the center of a BLC education.
You will learn in a setting where matters of faith are applied to the foundations of science, literature, history, and art, and you will be encouraged to think about your education from a Christian viewpoint.
Through active discussion on the foundations of our faith as well as present-day issues, a Bethany education will ultimately allow you to affirm and defend your beliefs while growing spiritually.
Your spiritual well-being is at the heart of our mission, giving you a foundation of truth based on God’s word. Students of any faith background are welcomed and encouraged to further their knowledge of Christianity and to grow spiritually.
Our Pledge to the Student
Bethany Lutheran College pledges to offer each student the comfort of the Gospel, the true knowledge of our world as revealed in Scripture and reflected in nature, and a personal mentoring relationship in higher education as preparation for a full life of purpose and meaning.
