An understanding for the 2020-21 Academic Year
Every member of the Bethany Vikings campus community has a responsibility to care for the well-being of ourselves and each other. The Bethany Administration encourages me to:
CARE FOR MYSELF
- maintain my health and monitor for the symptoms of COVID-19.
- reach out to health care workers if I experience COVID-19 symptoms (fever of 100.0 F or higher, dry cough, difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell).
- lead a healthy lifestyle that includes diet, exercise, and sleep.
- observe directions issued by the College.
- wash my hands with soap and water frequently and for at least 20 seconds. If soap is unavailable, I will use hand sanitizer.
CARE FOR OTHERS
- maintain appropriate social distancing.
- wear a face covering or other appropriate protective gear as directed by state and local mandates and the policies of the College.
- stay home or in my dorm room for the recommended time period if I feel ill or after exposure to someone who is ill or has tested positive for COVID-19.
- be helpful and supportive to anyone who may be troubled, struggling, lonely, or vulnerable.
- not contribute to panic or stigma of others when receiving or sharing information about COVID-19 or other health related issues, including College resources. Instead, I will encourage them to seek out College resources such as Christian Family Solutions for counseling, Mayo Express Care, BLC Administration, or Human Resources.
PROTECT THE BLC COMMUNITY
- keep my belongings, personal space, and shared common spaces clean.
- participate in testing, contact tracing, and quarantine or isolation when asked in order to help safeguard the wellness of the BLC community.
